Why supporting us?

Without access to hygiene products, girls can miss up to 50 days of school per year, causing them to fall behind in class and be ill-prepared for national exams that would have given them a chance to receive an education. 1 out of 4 Ugandan girls drops out of school because of their periods.

On the other hand, 1 out of 3 girls in Uganda is still married in childhood. And more than half (56%) of women aged between 15 and 49 have experienced physical and/or sexual abuse.

Uganda is ranked 131 (out of 170 countries) in the UN Gender Inequality Index Rank.

These stats are not only terrifying, they are also revolting. We need to act. Let's build a safer future together!

This helps us tremendously in keeping Happy Girls Project alive and running.

A $10 donation can change a life. With that amount, you supply a girl with a health kit including three reusable sanitary pads tht will keep her in school for a whole year.

Labdoo is an NGO that provides, free of charge, refurbished laptops loaded with child-friendly educational software in local languages to schools, orphanages, and refugee projects in low-income countries around the world.
